Women's Circles

In 2016, after 25 years in practice, Elena started women's circles to create a container for some of the deeper work of transformation that women were trying to do in therapy. Her suspicion was that women would benefit from a context of shared experience, collective wisdom and collaborative inspiration beyond their private quest to improve themselves. Her desire to work specifically with women has not just to do with the fact that women outpace men in therapy by a ratio of 2 to 1, but by her conviction that the world is desperately in need of empowered women. Donald Trump had just been elected for the first time in 2016 and women's empowerment felt urgent again. It is urgent still. Vital to her design is the task of illuminating the toxic influence of patriarchal misogyny and developing a constructive map of wellness that takes seriously not just women's wellbeing but their important work in and for the world.

Multiple Circles run consecutively at the studio and generally meet once a month, with opportunities for additional events and gatherings, and three retreats a year. New circles are currently forming.
